Mike and I need a headboard. We have never had one and I've decided our bedroom needs some TLC in the decorating department (who am I kidding, my entire HOUSE needs some... :P). I've looked at a few bed frames and at other interesting ideas for a head board and I keep coming back to the pallet look. There is something so natural and rustic about the look that keeps drawing me in. What do you think? Is it too much, way too over the top? I think with the correct styling it could be amazing. I especially love the painting on the first one and the burlap banner on the last. It gives it such a subtle touch of sweetness.
Love those headboards, very rustic and country! I'd love to have any of them!

Love them! Especially that last one!! You could probably make it and it would be so cheap.

Very different but beautiful. Imagine these in a cabin near the water just under a grove of tall trees. Hmmm, wouldn't it be great to be there?
ReplyDeleteI love these! I can't decide between the first and last one...I'd probably find some way to combine the two. I'm a sucker for bunting!
ReplyDeleteHi Cas,
ReplyDeletemy favorite is the first one because it is perfectly not perfect if that makes sense :-)
Those are so easy to make and just look beautiful. I always love to do some "street shopping" -whenever I see someone throw their old fence out, I am already there picking it up before the trash guys pick it up.. Most of my furniture is from somewhere along the road, lol.
Very charming those headboards! I love the stories those recycled items tell. Let us know which one you chose,

DO IT! It will look really awesome, especially with some pretty wild flowers in a vase near by.
ReplyDeleteLove the first one the best!
ReplyDeleteI'm seeing pallets everywhere lately but this is the first time I've seen headboards. Very cool looking.
ReplyDeleteI love the rustic look! I'm going to redo my room next summer and I've been gathering ideas like this.
ReplyDeleteah, you can't beat the 'grey and yellow' combo in the first shot. One of my fav. colour combinations.
ReplyDeleteIt would all depend on what the rest of your bedroom looks like. You could also use an old door or maybe a window frame with fabric panels instead of the glass if you don't want to go with all reclaimed wood. Whatever you do, make sure you sand it. No one wants splinters in the back of their head. And post pictures when you're done! I wanna see!
