Like I told you yesterday, Mike and I had a bonfire Tuesday night. We didn't stay outside long but I still managed to snap a million pictures. Fire is one of my favorite subjects. There is something so mysterious and magical about it. It's exhilarating and dangerous. Untouchable and powerful. These are a few of my favorite shots. I think they really capture the silence and raw power of the flame. And the last one reminds me of a little fire spirit, it's my number one.
It feels like the "fires of Mordor" from the Lord of the Rings!
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw your note on EBT about a fire post, I thought it was going to be about the new Kindle Fire! But that's just the nerd in me. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove these! My husband and I host an annual fake holiday (called Kurbis), and we burn pumpkins at the end of the night - we are always trying to get the perfect fire photos!
ReplyDeleteOoooh! It looks so warm and toasty...which is appealing to me when I am at work because they keep the office like an igloo! So thanks for e-warming me up :p
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love having bon fires, fire pits...it's so much fun. Fire is one of those things in nature that is so beautiful to watch. You captured these flames wonderfully.
ReplyDeleteNice photos! I just got a new camera and have been taking pictures of everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. Not tried flames yet, but you have inspired me!
