Holding on to Autumn

Today is a beautiful day but the cold is starting to creep in.  Tomorrow evening it is going to drop down to 35F.  I know I live in Wisconsin but I'm not ready!  I'm enjoying fall too much.  Also!  I can't believe Monday is Halloween.  This month has flown by, the holidays are getting so close.  I'm thinking about doing an updated Thanksgiving this year, finding innovative recipes on the classics.  Ever tried something like that? We shall see, I'm also a little afraid of screwing it all up.  Heh....

Tomorrow I have a new recipe to share with you!  I made a cheesy corn chowder for supper tonight and man... it was amazing, especially with a nice chunk of French bread.  Watch out tomorrow for all the details!

  3. The photos are gorgeous! It's crazy to think it's 35 degrees there and it was 80 today here in Florida! I think the updated Thanksgiving is a great idea. I may try that too...really good idea!

  4. Awesome shots, the second one looks just like one I took the other day (yours is better) but it was sun through the trees. I love holding on to autumn, but alas, it is snowing here tonight... BLARH!!!

  5. How beautiful! I'm in California, and we are still waiting for autumn to arrive :( some days it feels like fall. Other days... it is back to summer. Fall is definitely the shortest month, then winter comes kicking in. Super bummer.

  6. It's going way too fast. I don't remember the leaves changing and falling this fast! There were 2 weekends of perfect leaves and temperature...and now it's changing too fast. RESISTING CHANGE.
